God Cares about You

Do you know God really cares about you? So many live and die without knowing this simple, yet powerful truth, much the less ever experiencing it personally with their lives.  However, God wants this truth to be real to us and permeate every part of our lives.

There can be many reasons why it is hard for people to believe God cares about them and has good planned for their lives. One reason being could be their life experience tell them something totally different. Maybe losing a loved one, a job, having an accident, getting a divorce, or even getting sick has made them really question that God cares about them. Also many people all of their lives have heard and thought something totally different than God cares about them and therefore have allowed their feelings, circumstances, and past experiences to form their beliefs about God. Do you know what is supposed to form your beliefs about God? Are your feelings, circumstances, or experiences really suppose to? No, only the Word of God is to do this. Only God’s Word cast the right picture of God to us, what He is like and what He does and doesn’t do.  Hearing God’s Word produces a true knowledge about God and then produces faith in us.  Biblical faith is always based upon knowledge of God and we can only get that from the Word of God.

Now with this in mind consider Jeremiah 29:11 (NLT) God said, “For I know the plans I have for you,” says the LORD. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.” This is God telling us He cares about us and what is happening in our lives. Another reason why it is hard for people to believe God cares about them is because they wrongly attribute the bad things that happen to them as coming from God.

When we do that, not only do we believe a lie but we play right into the hands of the devil. Jesus told us in John 10:10 (NLT) The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life. Notice Jesus said His purpose in coming was to give you a rich and satisfying life. Why? Because God cares about you. When we don’t know and believe this we will live a life far below what God intended for us to have. Jesus clearly tells us Satan’s work is to kill; Christ’s work is to give life. Bad things come from Satan and good things come from God. Satan is bad; God is good and cares about you! This is a fundamental truth for all of our lives if we are going to grow in our relationship with God and learn to trust Him.
